SJ Earthquakes Player In Critical Condition After Tahoe Swimming Accident
Matheus Silva, 20, was pulled from the water, then rushed to a hospital and airlifted to another facility, officials said.

SAN JOSE, CA – A San Jose Earthquakes player is in critical condition after a swimming accident in Lake Tahoe, team officials said Tuesday.
According to team officials, Matheus Silva, 20, was swimming in Lake Tahoe and had to be pulled out of the water.
Silva received life-saving resuscitation measures at the scene and was taken to a nearby hospital. He was then airlifted to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, team officials said.

Silva is currently in critical condition, team officials said.
Silva, a midfielder, is currently on loan from the Earthquakes' United Soccer League affiliate team Reno 1868 FC.
