SVHS On Brief Lockdown When Rifle Bag Found
An empty rifle bag was found this morning, prompting school officials to go into a temporary lockdown until student safety was assured.
SCOTTS VALLEY - The discovery of a rifle bag at Scotts Valley High School this morning caused authorites to lockdown the school as a precautionary measure for a temporary period of time.
Scotts Valley Police and the Fire Department were called to the school, and the empty bag’s owner was located.
The school is no longer on lockdown, according to a police report at 11:12 a.m.
