Weekend Planner: Mural in a Weekend and More

This weekend, you have the chance to create a permanent piece of public art.

In a project organized by Scotts Valley Artisans, up to 50 artists and volunteers will paint an aviation-themed mural on the side of the Scotts Valley Library this Saturday and Sunday. 

The mural pays tribute to Santa Cruz Sky Park, the aviation field that operated for 36 years near the current site of the library. 

Painting goes from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; to volunteer call 831-439-9094.
