VAN NUYS, CA — Crews are on the scene of what authorities believe is a ruptured water pipeline that is causing pavement and soil damage and flooding in Van Nuys Tuesday afternoon.

The Los Angeles Fire Department is on the scene of the incident near the intersection of Hazeltine Avenue and Vanowen Street, just west of Van Nuys Boulevard. The issue was first reported at around 3 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters said.

There have been no injuries reported.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is en route to investigate and manage the incident, firefighters said.

Motorists should expect traffic congestion and and are urged to avoid the area, firefighters said.
