Gelson's To Debut Four New Wines By Award-Winning Winemaker

The drop marks the third collaboration between Gelson's and winemaker Julien Fayard.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Gelson's grocery shoppers will have new options in the wine section as the holiday season approaches. The store announced the arrival of four new wine bottles in collaboration with winemaker Julien Fayard, named "Winemaker of the Year" in 2016 by Wine Spectrum.

First on the list is a Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville 2018. Traditionally fermented and aged for 22 months, the wine is full-bodied with blueberry and blackberry aromas.

The store will also feature a Reserve Cabernet Frank Oakville 2018, Reserve Sauvignon Blanc Rutherford 2019, and Red Cuvée Napa Valley 2018.

The four bottles will be in stock at all Gelson's locations across Southern California.

“We feel very honored to work with Julien again," said John Bagan, Chief Merchandising Officer for Gelson’s. "He is a renowned wine maker with an outstanding reputation from his early work with Lafite Rothschild and Smith Haut Lafitte in his native France, to the last dozen years earning respect across Napa Valley.”

Shoppers who want to learn more about Fayard and the new bottles can participate in a Zoom presentation hosted by Gelson's on November 10.

“It has always been my goal to produce exceptional wines, and that striving for excellence in all areas resonates with the long history of Gelson’s, and a customer who appreciate the finest products," Fayard said.
