Pedestrian Killed Near The Sepulveda Pass

The California Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who killed a pedestrian at the Ventura (101) and San Diego(405) interchange.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A hit-and-run driver killed a pedestrian Thursday near the Sepulveda Pass in Sherman Oaks, and authorities are looking for the driver.

Little is known about the incident.

The California Highway Patrol was called to the southbound Ventura (101) Freeway and the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway interchange shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday. When the officers arrived, they found the body of a pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to CHP, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Investigators did not have immediate word on the suspect's vehicle. The California Highway Patrol did not immediately release the identity of the victim.
