People Watching in Sherman Oaks: What's Your Favorite Spot?

I have several favorite people-watching perches in Sherman Oaks, and I'd like to hear yours.

Whenever I'm in the mood to do some serious people watching in Sherman Oaks, I head for the Crave Cafe at 14504 Ventura Blvd.

It's the kind of sidewalk cafe where you can pull up a chair and watch the world go by. That location, just steps from the busy corner of Ventura and Van Nuys boulevards, is Sherman Oaks' answer to 42nd and Broadway or the Champs-Elysees.

No doubt you've heard the cliche that says, "Nobody walks in L.A.," but if you get a front row seat at the Crave, you'll see lots of people walking by your table. And there's often an interesting crowd sitting beside you.

Bring your dog, no problem: Dogs are allowed at the outdoor tables. People rave about the crepes at the Crave, but I've never ordered them.

I've got some other favorite people-watching spots in Sherman Oaks,  but I'd like to hear your favorites. Send me your suggestions in an e-mail to Doug.Kriegel@Patch.com. Include a photo, if you can.
