Police Prepare for Emergencies During 405 Closure
Motorcycle units will be used to handle some of the emergency calls.
The Los Angeles Police Department has prepared a plan to deal with police emergencies that might occur over the weekend of July 16-17 when the 405 Freeway will be closed for 53 hours.
The plan, as spelled out by police Capt. Martin Baeza in this Patch video, involves the use of motorcycle units, and having police officers deployed in the areas most affected by the freeway closure. Baeza talks about the plan in this video interview with Sherman Oaks Patch Editor Doug Kriegel.
