Sherman Oaks Man Sentenced To 15 Years For Stabbing His Fathers
Police said 23-year-old Matthew Boulet stabbed his parents several times during a family argument.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A 23-year-old man received 15 years and four months in state prison today for stabbing his adoptive fathers at their Sherman Oaks home. Matthew Boulet, who was 21 at the time of the attack, pleaded no contest to attempted murder on September 15.
According to police, Boulet was home from college for the summer when he stabbed one of his fathers with a pocket knife during a family argument. When his other father tried to intervene, Boulet stabbed him several times as well.
Both parents, who are in their 50s, survived the attack.

"He was very nonchalant when he said he had stabbed his two fathers and that he suffered a wound while doing so," Los Angeles Police Lieutenant. Mike Kozak said at the time of the crime. "He was very calm about it."
