They Want Your Blood at Colfax Elementary on April 17

The Bloodmobile is on the lookout for donors and will make a pit stop at Colfax Charter Elementary School on April 17.

Potential donors who are at least 17 years old and meet several other requirements can make a donation from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to benefit the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.

The Valley Village Neighborhood Council is helping to organize the drive.

"It takes less than an hour to donate, and you will potentially be saving the life of a sick or injured child," said Board Member Cathy Flynn. "If you are unable to donate for any reason but would still like to help, we can use some volunteers to help people check in and give them juice and snacks after they donate."

Drop-ins are welcome, but appointments can be made by e-mailing Flynn at c_flynn1962@yahoo.com.

Colfax Elementary is located at 11724 Addison St.
