UPDATE: Two Suspects in Sherman Oaks Parking Garage Robbery Detained

Police are searching for the suspects who may have fled to the area of Friar Street and Kester Avenue.

Police today detained two men suspected of robbing a person at gunpoint today in a parking garage in Sherman Oaks.

The crime near a Whole Foods in the 4400 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard was reported about 10 a.m., said Los Angeles police Officer Drake Madison of the Media Relations office. The victim was uninjured.

Police chased a car to Friar Street and Kester Avenue, where the vehicle crashed, according to broadcast reports. The fleeing car reached about 100 mph, with the driver swerving to the wrong side of the road at times.

At least two people were detained for questioning as possible suspects in the robbery, but the investigation was continuing, an LAPD officer said.
