The Valley Of Change To Host Sherman Oaks Cleanup On Sunday
The social justice organization will partner with Aarika Rhodes, who is running for Congress in 2022.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Racial justice organization The Valley of Change will host a street cleanup in Sherman Oaks this Sunday. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Galleria Mall on Sepulveda Boulevard and Ventura Boulevard.
Aarika Rhodes, a teacher who is running for Congress in 2022, will co-sponsor the event.
"We’re continuing to find new ways to take our activism into the streets and this week we‘re helping to clean up our local neighborhood," the Valley of Change wrote on social media. "We’d love for you to join us."

The event will clean 1-2 miles near the Galleria, and end with a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest.
Co-founded by Latora Green and Reggie Watts, the Valley of Change has hosted daily protests at the corner of the Galleria Mall since May. Recently, the organization has hosted a forum for Council District 4 candidate Nithya Raman, grocery giveaways and food donations for unhoused residents in Sherman Oaks.
