SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A water main break on Ventura Boulevard was causing problems Wednesday morning, with minor flooding in the area of Ventura Boulevard and Hazeltine Avenue. LADWP announced Wednesday morning the street would be closed between Hazeltine Avenue and Stansbury Avenue until late afternoon while crews fixed the issue.

Tuesday night at 6:48 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department reported an electrical fire broke out in a three-story office building along Ventura Boulevard in the same area. LADWP de-energized the power grid around 8:23 p.m. to cut off power, and firefighters reported there was water in the "sub-level area of the high voltage electrical vault."

LAFD remained on standby until it was safe to enter, and said there was no active fire. No injuries were reported.
