Woman Killed In Sepulveda Pass Hit-And-Run Identified
A 52-year-old pedestrian was struck by a driver who left her for dead at the 101/405 freeway interchange.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Authorities identified a woman who was killed in the Sherman Oaks area Thursday when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver.
Fifty-two-year-old Andrea Ortega was struck by a vehicle at the Ventura (101) Freeway and the San Diego (405) Freeway interchange in the Sepulveda pass early Thursday morning, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office. The California Highway Patrol was called to the interchange shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday. They found Ortega's body but no trace of the driver who killed her.
No description was released of the hit-and-run vehicle.
