
The City of Sierra Madre will be considering increasing water and sewer rates for city customers in October and will be holding the second public meeting to discuss the background behind that decision on Monday night.
The hearings will focus on the city's finances for the water and sewer department, necessary capital investment in public infrastructure and other topics related to the possible rate increases.
Monday's meeting focuses on the long term planning of the utility as well as its infrastructure needs.

Monday, August 26 at 6:30 p.m. - Maintenance Yard, 621 E. Sierra Madre Blvd.
"State of System" - Capital and Long Term Master Plan, Sewer & Water System Needs
Saturday, September 14 at 9:00 a.m. - Maintenance Yard, 621 E. Sierra Madre Blvd.
Water System, "How Water Gets to Your Tap". This tour will involve walking on unpaved and uneven surfaces.
