Sacramento, CA – Assembly Member Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) applauds the United States Supreme Court’s decisions that strike down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and prevent the implementation of Proposition 8 in California.
“Today’s historic U.S. Supreme Court rulings are a step in the right direction towards establishing equality for all citizens regardless of sexual orientation,” said Assembly Member Rendon. “It is my belief that same-sex marriages should be legal in California and throughout the nation. We must continue to push forward this paramount human rights issue to ensure that all marriages are fully recognized under the law,” said Assembly Member Rendon.
