HUNTINGTON PARK (CNS) - Five people were hurt in Huntington Park on Sunday morning, two seriously, when a suspected drunk driver in a silver sedan crashed into a compact car at a high rate of speed, a fire official said.
The accident occurred at about 1:30 a.m., June 30, 2013 at Saturn and Miles avenues, said Huntington Park Fire Department Battalion Chief Glenn Goulet.
A silver sedan driven by a suspected drunk driver was southbound on Saturn Avenue at about 100 miles per hour, Goulet said. "It hit a car, which was a parked car and overturned,'' he said.
The driver of the silver sedan and one passenger were transported to a hospital in serious condition, Goulet said. A second passenger suffered minor injuries and the driver and passenger of the victim car suffered minor injuries, he said.
