South of Delancey at Fremont Centre Theatre (Photos)

This weekend will be the last showing of South Of Delancey at the Fremont Theatre.

I finally came out to see at the  as part of theatre party fundraiser Sunday.

Having , I had a good grasp of what the play would entail. Yet I have a whole new appreciation after seeing it.

The scenes were raw and the storylines were authentic. As I watched the play unfold in the intimate theatre, I could see how Sommers used character improvisation to develop South of Delancey, which is based on true stories of a Jewish arbitration court in the mid-1900s.

It's no wonder several audience members were viewing the play for their second or third time.

After the play, WISPPA members, as well as their family and friends, gathered on the patio of the theatre for a Q&A with Sommers and the cast.
