Woman Found Naked, Stabbed 25 Times; Husband Arrested
The woman is expected to survive. Police don't know what led to the stabbing or why the husband stabbed his wife.

MONTEREY PARK, CA -- Police arrested the husband of a woman who was found stabbed about 25 times and lying nude on a street in front of their Monterey Park house, a police lieutenant said.
Police were called to a home at 1247 N. Newmark Ave. about 8:20 p.m. regarding a home violence incident, Monterey Park Police Lt. Scott Wiese said.
Police responded after they received calls that a naked woman was in the street covered with blood and screaming, according to police.

Paramedics treated her at the scene and then took her to a hospital for treatment of her wounds.
“She’s still alive,” Wiese said. “She’s going to survive.”
Officers then detained the woman’s husband. The husband was believed to be in his 60s, Wiese said.
“I don’t know what precipitated the argument or why he stabbed his wife,” Wiese said.
The husband was being interviewed Thursday night by detectives and had not been booked, Wiese said. His name was not immediately available. He is expected to be booked.
