12:02 a.m.: Someone broke into a car at the Embassy Suites and stole a suitcase.

12:17 a.m.: Police were dispatched to a home on Diamond after receiving a report from the resident that someone might be walking on the roof.
2:29 a.m.: Officers arrested a person involved in an injury traffic collision.

3:07 a.m.: A resident on the 200 block of Arroyo reported people in the yard with flashlights who sped away in a light colored car.
3:41 a.m.: A man eating at a restaurant chased after the guy who stole his phone. He didn’t catch the thief and was out of breath when he called the police to report the crime.
7:02 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a business on San Mateo Avenue.
8:29 p.m.: Someone hit a pickup truck parked in the vicinity of Village Way and Linden Avenue. The person who hit the truck failed to leave proper insurance information.
10:19 a.m.: The owner of a car parked at a hotel on Veterans Boulevard discovered the car had been burglarized during the previous evening.
11:39 a.m.: Officers called in the SPCA to capture a brown lab that was running around a parking lot on Forbes Boulevard.
11:43 a.m.: Officers were asked to talk to the folks who brought the big stereo to the Sister Cities Grove picnic area. The music volume was not to the liking of others in the area who were there for the bucolic setting.
12:55 p.m.: Officers arrested one of the people involved in a loud argument at a hotel on Airport Boulevard.
1:29 p.m.: The owner of a car parked on Country Club discovered the car had been stolen.
2:37 p.m.: A guest at an inn on Airport Blvd. had to be escorted away after their credit card was declined.
2:53 p.m.: That group at Sister Cities Grove who had agreed to be quiet decided to get loud again. They were gone when officers arrived to talk to them.
5:17 p.m.: Police arrested a person who was being destructive in a South Airport Blvd. hotel room.
6:29 p.m.: The guest who wouldn’t leave an Airport Blvd. hotel and who couldn’t pay for another night, decided to leave after learning the police were on the way.
10:25 p.m.: Those kids who were talking and laughing on Olive Avenue weren’t doing anything wrong.
10:43 p.m.: A suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct on South Maple Avenue.
Editor’s Note: Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
