South San Francisco Police Log: Possible Child Abuse, Racing Cars and Fireworks

 12:51 a.m.: A boy whose parents wanted him to be drug tested threatened his father with a bat.  The incident occurred on Keoncrest Drive.

5:52 a.m.: There was a non-injury accident involving three vehicles in the vicinity of Baden and Spruce Avenues.

12:43 p.m.: Staff at the California Pacific Medical Center reported a possible case of child abuse.

1:31 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Mission Road and McClellan Drive where there was a report of a man and woman who had forced a puppy to carry weights.  The couple and the dog were gone when officers arrived on the scene.

2:39 p.m.: A customer of Hertz left some marijuana in a rental that was returned earlier in the day.

4:16 p.m.: Officers gave advice to a citizen regarding a restraining order.

4:53 p.m.: The guy who was lying on the ground in the vicinity of South Airport Bl. and Grand was gone when police and fire personnel arrived on at the scene.

5:35 p.m.: Officers spoke to a group of juveniles who may have thrown some eggs from an apartment on McClellan Drive.

7:46 p.m.: A passport and computer were stolen from a vehicle parked on Grand Avenue.

8:11 p.m.: There was a vehicle burglary on Grand Avenue. 

10:48 p.m.: There were cars racing and fireworks going off in the vicinity of Hawthorne Place.  All was quiet when officers arrived.

Editor’s Note:  Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
