SCHOOL CLOSED MONDAY, MAY 28TH FOR MEMORIAL DAY

School is closed on Monday, May 28th for the Memorial Day Holiday. The next email blast will be sent out on Monday evening, May 28th. We hope you enjoy a safe and happy holiday weekend.

IMPORTANT CHANGE TO SCHEDULE: THURSDAY MAY 31ST

PLEASE NOTE:  Thursday, May 31st will NOT be a minimum day and school will get out at the normal time of 2:23pm. The minimum day is now scheduled for Wednesday, June 13th and the school day will end at 12:43pm that day.  We also previously scheduled a minimum day on June 22nd. Since the last day of school has been moved to June 19th, this minimum day has been rescheduled for Monday, June 18th. We will send reminders before both dates but wanted to make sure to provide the information to you as soon as possible.

PTA BUDGET MEETING ON THURSDAY, MAY 31ST

The PTA has scheduled their annual Budget Meeting on Thursday, May 31st at 8:05am in Cafe West. At this meeting, we will present the proposed budget for the 2012-2013 school year. If you are planning to be actively involved chairing a PTA Committee, please plan to attend the meeting so you are aware of how much money your committee will have. ANNUAL PTA/PFC VOLUNTEER BREAKFAST FRIDAY, JUNE 1, 2012

PTA and PFC want to thank you for all your hard work making it an amazing school year for our children.  Please join us for our annual Volunteer Breakfast at Daily Grill on Friday, June 1st from 8:15 AM - 10:15 AM.  Generously hosted by our Partner in Education, Daily Grill, 12050 Ventura Blvd, Studio City.  All current and future Carpenter parents are welcome.  Please RSVP by May 28, 2012 to Debi Sher (BunnyDeb@aol.com).

REMINDER: THE SWISS TEACHERS HAVE ARRIVED

If you notice some new faces on campus this week, that just may be one of the 6 Swiss Exchange Teachers joining us to see how classroom learning is done American Style. Please feel free to join us for an assembly on campus on Monday morning after dropoff to welcome the Swiss Exchange Teachers. These 6 extraordinary student teachers will be living with their Carpenter host families and working with our teachers over the next couple of weeks. REMINDER: TO PARENTS AT SCHOOL WHO LOVE THE TREES WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW! SO PLEASE HELP US, PLEASE!

On Tuesdays at school, we eat Trash Free Lunch. 
We need volunteers. We need a Bunch! 
To help with the sorting of trash stuff from not
And give out Cougar Coupons right there, on the spot. 

So if you are willing. And caring. And ables... 
Come Tuesdays, 11:30, right by the tables. 
And help us to teach each child to know
That their actions make a difference and help the plants grow.
