The 85th anniversary of Mack Sennett coming to the San Fernando Valley and putting his studio here is this year.
Experience free films, lectures and rare photos of the birth of Studio City at the Studio City Library this Saturday.
The event will be held from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Studio City library, 12511 Moorpark St. Admission is free.

The 85th anniversary of the opening of Mack Sennett’s studios will be featured in a presentation by the Studio City Neighborhood Council and Studio City library on Saturday, April 20. Sennett historian Brent Walker will give a presentation, followed by screening of “Taxi for Two,” “Match Play,” both from 1930, and “The Dentist” from 1932.
