Jack Gold Wants to Stop Graffiti, He's Looking for Help (Post Your Graffiti Shots Here!)

Paul Krekorian's office is also on top of graffiti removal. Add your photos and the location in the gallery above.

Jack J. Gold has been seeing a lot of graffiti hitting various corners of Studio City—and he is concerned.

Gold said:

"After 27 years at the Sylmar Juvenile Court, working as a judge, creating many different anti graffiti programs and throughout throughout the entire SF Valley, including Santa Clarita, Malibu, to Burbank, Mullholland Drive to and through Palmdale/Lancaster, I notice a beginning danger sign for our beautiful Studio City Village. This should not be taken lightly since graffiti has a tendency to spread. I noticed the area behind Bookstar and took a picture (see photos above.)"

Gold said the markings are a troubling sign and "this is a serious problem for our neighborhood. You can only help it spread by ignoring it."

Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Krekorian's office has responded quickly to graffiti concerns, especially recently at the Colfax Bridge and other places. Studio City representative Geoffrey Yazzetta said that any such concerns can come directly to him at: geoffrey.yazzetta@lacity.org

Gold also sent in another photo and said:

"Take a look at this, I have access to the securityvideo that shows the person tagging the Reingold Eye Center who left this piece of crap on the wall of the building on Riverside and Laurel Canyon. Building is just west of Laurel. I know what kind of damage this can do to a neighborhood. Stop this before it starts."

Also, Gold said that if there are people in the community interested in getting together to do something, you can contact him at jazzz2@pacbell.net, or on his Patch account.
