Carol Champommier said she went through her son's closet just this morning.
"It's still the same way it was, nothing has changed," she laughed.
Her only child—her best friend—Zac, was shot and killed by plainclothes police in the well-traveled parking lot behind Chipotle’s in Studio City on June 24, 2010.
She wrote today on her Facebook page:
Closing oral arguments are now over. We are blessed to have had such a smart, talented, articulate, and dedicated team of attorneys on our side who have never wavered in pursuit of the truth and justice for Zac. I'm not sure how long it will take the judge to make a decision. It could be weeks or months. I just don't know. I want to thank everyone who has been able to be present in court and those of you who have been with us in spirit. I could never have gotten this far without your well wishes, prayers, and spiritual support. I continue to have faith that justice will prevail.
