Ovarian Cancer Coalition Draws 150 at Lunch and Learn

The successful fifth annual event was held at the Sportsmen's Lodge this past weekend.

More than 150 attended the 5th Annual Ovarian Cancer Coalition Lunch and Learn was held at Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City.

Barbara Krause, who has been with the Studio City-based Ovarian Cancer group since 1999, said it was a very well-attended event.

The event proved to be successful as attendees enjoyed the boutique shopping, meal, speakers and raffle prizes while raising money for research. There were 10 to 15 vendors with everything from costume jewelry to health-related materials.

Krause, who is a volunteer and friend of president Gayne McKenna, said, "Thanks to all who helped to make this occasion a special one. Planning will soon begin for the September 15 Run/Walk at CBS Studio Center."
