Slurry Project Creates Studio City Traffic Jams

A good portion of Studio City including Vineland, Wrightwood Drive and numerous other key streets in this area are being blocked, diverted and delayed by a slurry project today through Friday. 

John Marshall, a local resident, said, "This has created a commuter's nightmare on the heavily traveled Wrightwood Drive."

Marshall attached the map from the Department of Public Works laying out the affected streets each of the three days.  

Here is the closure schedule:


Thursday, May 2nd:
Wrightview Place, from Wrightwood Drive to the end of the cul-de-sac
Wrightwood Lane, between Wrightwood Drive and Wrightwood Court
Wrightwood Lane, the southern half of the steet, from Wrightwood Court to Alta View Drive
Alta View Drive, from Wrightwood Lane, uphill to the cul-de-sac  (The lower half, downhill from Wrightwood Lane is not on the schedule for this week.)

Friday, May 3rd:

Wrightwood Lane, the northern half of the street, from Wrightwood Court to Alta View
Wrightwood Lane, from Bellfield to Fredonia.
