Stopping for a Momentary Snapshot May Have Saved Studio City Marathon Runner

Renee Opell paused for this picture, and that kept her from running right in front of the bomb blast only seconds later.

Studio City resident Renee Opell realizes now that a stop for a momentary photograph may have saved her from being right in the middle of one of the bomb blasts at the Boston Marathon.

The 51-year-old was running her 40th marathon with two friends, and then she paused for a photograph and they were caught just in the middle of where the two bombs went off at the marathon.
