A ``person of interest'' was detained for questioning Friday morning, authorities say, after a string of Studio City area arson fires.
STUDIO CITY, CA -- At least 10 arson fires were set Friday morning in the Studio City area, targeting vehicles and trash containers, and a ``person of interest'' has been detained for questioning, authorities said.
The latest fire was reported at 6:15 a.m. in a trash container outside 11365 West Ventura Blvd., said Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The ``person of interest'' -- described only as a male -- was detained for questioning, the LAFD said at around 9 a.m. Friday.

``A string of fires ... are being investigated as possibly linked together as a single arson case,'' Prange said. ``Fire companies are staying on scene of the various auto fires, rubbish fires, and this reported structure fire -- that turned out to be a dumpster fire behind the address.''
No injuries have been reported, and no structures have been damaged.
