Studio City Hero: Meet The NoHo Interfaith Food Pantry Leader

STUDIO CITY, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Susan Berin who nominated Barbara Javitz of Studio City. Barbara runs the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry, and always goes the extra mile to ensure the community is fed.

Reason for recognition: Last November, Barbara took on the enormous responsibility of running the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry. She is a volunteer who gives selflessly back to her community.

One thing to know: Barbara cares deeply about the hungry people in her community. It's vitally important to her to make sure no one goes hungry no matter the circumstances.
