Teenage Girl Leads Police On Wild Valley Chase
Police arrested a 16-year-old girl for allegedly stealing a car for a joyride, speeding in the wrong direction and crashing.

PANORAMA CITY, CA — A 16-year-old girl allegedly led police on a short vehicle pursuit early Tuesday morning that ended with the car smashing into a power pole and truck parked at an auto dealership in Panorama City.
The crash happened about 1 a.m. outside of Ayres Auto Wholesale at the corner of Plummer Avenue and Van Nuys Boulevard.
Police said they received a recklesss driving report and tried to pull over the girl because she allegedly didn't have her headlights on and was on the wrong side of the street.

A brief chase ensued, and after about two minutes, police said the girl lost control of the car, slamming into a brick wall, power pole, and then a used truck for sale at the dealership lot.
The girl was allegedly driving a vehicle she didn't own. The car's owner, interviewed by television reporters, said he was summoned to the scene, but he said he didn't know the driver.

The teen sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital, police said.
