The New Walgreens is Open in Studio City

The Walgreens on the corner of Vineland and Ventura Boulevard has opened.

Formerly the site of the , an Internet cafe and , the drug store diagonal from the Rite Aid opened over the weekend.

According to Lisa Sarkin, the chairman of the Studio City Neighborhood Council, the store was supposed to replace the half-century trees with some decorative plants, but they weren't able to because of the street fixtures and some problem with the planting of new trees.

"So, they said they would be donating to the Studio City Beautification," she said.

This will be the third Walgreens in the Studio City area.
