Victorio's Pizza in Cahuenga Pass Closes

Victorio's Pizza Ristorante, which had a sign that said it was open since 1964, closed its doors last month.

An employee who was closing up the shop said that "the competition with fancy designed smaller pizzas in Studio City" and a lack of parking in the mini-mall in the Cahuenga Pass caused the restaurant to close after a drop in regular customers.

The original Victorio's in North Hollywood is the one that has opened in the area since 1964—a family-run restaurant at 10901 Victory Blvd. in North Hollywood. That shop is still thriving.

Victorio's in Universal City, at 3175 Cahuenga Blvd., shared a mini-mall complex with a phone shop, a gas station, a psychic and a few other shops. It was at the intersection of Cahunega and Barham Boulevard.

It is not yet clear what will replace the restaurant.
