What’s Going Into the Old Blockbuster? A New Wells Fargo

That will make it the third Wells Fargo in Studio City—the one at the other end of Studio City at Coldwater Canyon Avenue just completed some impressive mosaics there.

There’s a little bit of a problem with the space because the Wells Fargo developers are trying to put up the same amount of signs as Blockbuster had—three of them.

Like the anchor stores of and at the complex, there are three signs, but the Ventura Corridor Specific Plan only allows for two.

The three signs on the other businesses were not supposed to be allowed according to the Ventura Specific Plan, but the city Planning Department allowed them, according to Lisa Sarkin, the chairperson of the Land Use Committee of the Studio City Neighborhood Council.

Sarkin said, “It would be wonderful if you could plan a mosaic on the wall like there is at the other Wells Fargo.”

The Wells Fargo planners said they would look into it.
