19-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot In Fairfield Parking Lot

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries, police said.

FAIRFIELD, CA — A 19-year-old man was seated in a car in the parking lot of a business west of downtown Fairfield when someone approached the vehicle and fired several shots, police said Saturday.

The incident occurred just after 8:30 p.m. Friday in the 1300 block of West Texas Street, according to police.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries, police said. The suspect fled before police arrived.

A preliminary investigation suggested that the shooting was not a random act and there was no threat to the public, police said.
