20-Year-Old Dies After Shooting At Fairfield Bar; Suspect Remains At Large, Police Say

The Fairfield Police Department says it's searching for a suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred at a local bar Thursday night.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA --The Fairfield Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Thursday, April 27 and needs the public's help.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a bar in the 1700 Block of West Texas Street at 10:30 p.m. They arrived and found a 20-year-old male in the doorway of the bar suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local trauma center where he later died. Responding officers say the suspect fled the scene toward West Texas Street. He's described as a Hispanic male in his 20s wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. Despite a thorough area check with the assistance of a CHP helicopter, officers say they were unable to locate the suspect.

Detectives are said to be actively involved in identifying and apprehending the suspect in this case.

Police said the case is not associated with the firebombings that took place during the same time, but that no additional information about the cause would be released for now.
