5 Arrested at 2 Fairfield Traffic Stops

2 Suisun City men among those arrested.

Police arrested five men for possession of drugs and firearms  during two traffic stops in Fairfield on Friday.

The first traffic stop occurred at about 4:40 p.m. on Friday near
B Gale Wilson Boulevard and Dana Drive, police said.

Officers recognized the occupants of the vehicle as possible gang members with prior shootings and weapons arrests.

A loaded, concealed handgun, as well as a controlled substance,  was located on the suspects. The firearm was stolen from a residential burglary in Fairfield a week earlier, police said.

Jovonte Goodwin, 20, of Vallejo, was arrested for possession of a concealed and loaded firearm, possession of stolen property and for violation of his probation.

Ben Sapp, 18, of Fairfield, was arrested for the possession of a controlled substance and for committing a felony while out on bail, according to police.

The second traffic stop occurred Friday at about 10:30 p.m., on Gershwin Circle near Strauss Drive in Fairfield.

Two of the vehicle's occupants were found to have outstanding warrants for their arrest. A third occupant was found to be in possession of a loaded and concealed handgun, police said.

Jeremy Fallness, 29, of Reno, Nev., was arrested for possession of a loaded and concealed handgun.

James Marion, 25, of Suisun City, was arrested on a felony warrant  for a violation of his Post Release Community Supervision.

Stanley Marion, 25, of Suisun City, was arrested on a misdemeanor traffic warrant out of San Jose.
