Congressman Garamendi to Tour Vegetable Farm & Road Safety Manufacturing Facility in Rio Vista

WHAT:          Today, Congressman John Garamendi (D-Fairfield, CA) will participate in two events in Rio Vista.  He will tour the California Vegetable Specialties facility, a farming company that grows and sells endives. It is the only producer of endives in America and produces over 4 million pounds each year.  He will meet with the farm’s founder and learn more about their work.

Congressman Garamendi will also tour the Barrier Systems Rio Vista Plant, which manufactures moveable barriers and other road safety products.  He will observe their manufacturing system and meet with the facility’s employees.
