Fairfield Crash Kills One, Injures Another
The accident happened on Air Base Parkway, near a railroad crossing.

FAIRFIELD (BCN) - One man was killed and another injured in a crash late Wednesday night in Fairfield, a police lieutenant said.
Officers responded to a report of a crash on Air Base Parkway, near an Amtrak railroad crossing just west of Walters Road, at about 11 p.m., Lt. Brad Collins said.

The driver of the car was heading east on Air Base Parkway when he lost control of the vehicle, which swerved off the roadway, hit a tree and overturned, Collins said.
The passenger, identified by the Solano County coroner's office as 58-year-old Marvin Berrios, of Fairfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Collins said the driver was transported to a hospital to be treated for injuries not considered life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation. No Amtrak trains were delayed.
