Fairfield PAL Boxer Christian Mauricio heads to the ring!

The Fairfield Police Activities League’s (PAL)’s rising star Christian Mauricio, a 15-year-old boxer who attends Fairfield High School, is set to step into the ring this weekend in American Canyon, showcasing his skill and determination. As one of Fairfield PAL's standout athletes, Christian has been training rigorously under the guidance of PAL's experienced boxing coaches, Pete Padilla and Anthony Marquez.

With his dedication to the sport and passion for personal growth, Christian has become a role model for teens at the PAL Teen Center. His commitment to fitness, discipline, and hard work has earned him recognition at the PAL Center. “The other day, the Fairfield Suisun Rotary served everyone these huge burritos (from La Cabana De Suisun), so most of the boxers took a break after training—but not Christian. He went for a run,” pointed out a teammate!

"We're incredibly proud of Christian and excited to see him represent Fairfield PAL. His journey in the sport inspires others to aim high and put in the hard work," said Coach Pete, Christian's trainer and Head Coach at the Fairfield PAL Teen Center. “Christian has been an inspiration to all the kids in the boxing program,” agrees Coach Anthony, “He trains hard and works well with others—it inspires other to train harder!”

The upcoming fight at the American Canyon Community Center is expected to draw attention from local boxing enthusiasts, with Christian being a favorite for his discipline and technique. This event is a great opportunity for the community to rally behind one of their own, and Fairfield PAL encourages everyone to come out and show their support.
