Fairfield Police Searching for Suspects in Sunday Afternoon Shoting

Police are searching for suspects and a motive in the Sunday afternoon shooting.

Two men fired shots at a woman in a parked vehicle in Fairfield Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The woman was sitting inside her vehicle on the 700 block of Jackson Street shortly after 12:30 p.m. when two men stepped out of an alley on the west side of Jackson and fired numerous shots into the vehicle, police said.

The suspects then got into a waiting vehicle and fled north on Jackson and west on to Empire Street, police said.

The woman was not hurt, but she has refused to cooperate with police.

Police do not know if she was alone in the vehicle when the shots were fired.

The suspect vehicle was described as a newer model black Chrysler 200 four-door sedan with possibly tinted windows and chrome rims, police said.

The suspects are described as black males, three wearing white shirts and one wearing a black shirt.
