Fatal Shooting At A Fairfield Bar May Have Been In Self Defense, Police Say

Police say that on Sunday they arrested a man suspected of shooting and killing another man last week at a bar in Fairfield.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Police arrested a man Sunday suspected of shooting and killing another man last week at a bar in Fairfield, and it appears the man may have acted in self defense, authorities say.

Following an investigation, police arrested 42-year-old Keith Lewis of Fairfield on the afternoon of April 30 in connection with the death of 20-year-old Alexander Itzigheine, also of Fairfield.

On Thursday, April 27, Itzigheine went to a bar in the 1700 block of West Texas Street, allegedly confronted a group of patrons on the back patio, then pulled out a handgun and threatened them, police said.
