Garage Fire Displaces 4, Dog In Fairfield

The blaze at a two-story home on Fairview Place broke out at 12:52 a.m. Monday.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Four people were displaced following a two-alarm fire inside a garage at a home in Fairfield early this morning. According to Battalion Chief Andy Cranston, the blaze was reported at a 3,500-square-foot, two-story home in the 2300 block of Fairview Place at 12:52 a.m.

Fire crews were able to contain the fire to the garage, but Cranston said there was some smoke damage inside the home. The fire was contained at 1:15 a.m.

The four people and a dog will stay with family, Cranston said.

Damage to the home is estimated at $100,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Crews from the Vacaville Fire Department and the Cordelia Fire Protection District offered mutual assistance as fire crews fought the blaze.
