Get the Scoop on Consent, Confidence, and Connection this Summer at Fairfield PAL's Girls Circle

This summer, the Fairfield PAL Teen Center is serving up more than just sweet treats—it's offering soft serve with strong boundaries through its newest Girls Circle series: The Summer Scoop Sessions, running Wednesdays from 1:30–3:00 PM, June 11 through August 6.
Blending tropical vibes with powerful life lessons, the program themed around dole whip delights offers teen girls ages 13–18 a space to cool off, connect, and build critical life skills. Each week, participants will not only dive into guided conversations about boundaries, consent, and personal autonomy, they’ll also learn how to make a new dole whip or smoothie flavor, creating a multisensory, refreshing experience that nurtures both mind and body.
The curriculum, titled “Voice & Choice: Embracing Boundaries and Consent,” comes from One Circle Foundation’s Unity Circle® model and provides a nonjudgmental, youth-driven approach to understanding personal rights and healthy relationships. Through interactive discussions, games, videos, journaling, and role-playing activities, youth will explore:

- What consent really means
- How to recognize green lights and red flags in relationships
- Communication tools like “I” statements and boundary-setting
- How to advocate for themselves and others
- The role of alcohol and drugs in personal decision-making
Each session wraps with a custom treat-making experience, teaching participants how to blend flavors as skillfully as they learn to balance relationships, emotions, and personal power. From mango lime whip to berry smoothie blends, these tasty creations are as memorable as the lessons themselves.
“Summer Scoop Sessions” is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Soroptimist International of Central Solano County. A free PAL Teen Center membership is required to participate, and space is limited. Lunch is provided at each session.
