RIO VISTA - Solano County deputies arrested a 35-year-old man last week for an illegal dump he allegedly created that was found in Rio Vista.
Deputies say on Monday, May 16, Solano County Environmental Crimes Deputy Aaron Wilson investigated an illegal dump on Emigh Road in Rio Vista.
According to Solano sheriff's deputies, several of the items found dumped are considered to be hazardous materials, and include spray paint, motor oil, and a large quantity of uncapped used hypodermic needles.

Authorities say Wilson was able to identify and later arrest a 35-year-old man responsible for the dump.
A probation search of the manβs home revealed methamphetamine and additional hypodermic needles used to inject illegal drugs, according to the sheriff's office.

Household items such as chemicals, paint, motor oil, electronic waste, and batteries have to be disposed of properly in accordance with the law.
