Motorcyclist Arrested In High-Speed Chase In Fairfield: Police
A CHP aircraft, Solano County sheriff's deputies and a K9 unit responded to assist in the pursuit.

FAIRFIELD, CA — A 25-year-old Fairfield man was arrested after leading officers on a high-speed chase on a motorcycle on Sunday night, police said. According to police, Jamell Griffin was taken into custody after
leading officers on a pursuit that ultimately ended in a field of overgrown brush where a Fairfield police K-9 apprehended Griffin after he was spotted by a Napa-based California Highway Patrol fixed-wing aircraft.
Police said a two-officer DUI enforcement unit attempted to stop the motorcycle Griffin was riding, but he fled, speeding past stop signs and red lights before getting on westbound Interstate Highway 80.
Officers then terminated the pursuit, but started it again when officers parked on an eastbound freeway on-ramp spotted Griffin trying to get on the freeway.

Police said Griffin then turned around on the on-ramp, fled on Suisun Valley Road until deciding to drive into a ditch and flee on foot into an overgrown field.
Police said Solano County sheriff's deputies helped set up a perimeter in the area and a neighbor called police to notify them that a suspect matching Griffin's description was just seen running from their yard.
