New Interim Police Chief in Nearby Fairfield To Meet With Residents

The new interim chief of the Fairfield Police Department is set to participate in a 'Coffee With a Cop' event May event on May 4.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- The Fairfield Police Department captain who was appointed interim police chief last month is expected to meet one-on-one with residents at an upcoming event.

A special 'Coffee with a Cop' event is planned for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. May 4 at Truffle Berries Café & Dessert Bar at 731 Texas St. where residents can meet Capt. Randy Fenn, who was appointed to interim chief on March 10.

Fenn took over for Chief Joe Allio who retired earlier this year.

The search for a permanent chief is expected to take six months, according to police. Fenn is expected to apply for the position.
