Person Dies When Hit By Train In Suisun City

The fatality happened on the Capitol Corridor tracks near West and Sacramento streets.

SUISUN CITY, CA — A person was killed by a train Wednesday in Suisun City, according to Amtrak. Police were called at 6:41 p.m. about the collision, which occurred, according to Amtrak and the California Highway Patrol, on the Capitol Corridor tracks near West and Sacramento streets.

Train 542 was carrying 190 passengers on their way to Sacramento from San Jose. No passengers or crew were injured, Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari said.

Passengers were transferred to Train 544 and were delayed less than an hour.
