Parolee At Large Arrested After Backyard Search
An alert Fairfield Police detective spotted a wanted parolee and the chase was on.

A wanted parolee was captured in Fairfield today after being spotted by a Fairfield Police officer.
The officer saw James Devon Marion, 24, of Suisun, while patrolling Grande Circle in Fairfield at 3:47 p.m., today. After seeing the police officer, police say Marion fled in a vehicle at a high rate of speed.Â
"Detective Neal was able to keep Marion in his view," a Fairfield Police Department press release read. "Marion then abandoned the vehicle he was driving and fled into several backyards. He was last seen going into the backyard of a home in the 500 block of Thomas Circle in Suisun City."

A team of police officers -- from the Fairfield and Suisun City Police Departments, along with air support from the California Highway Patrol -- established a perimeter around the neighborhood and did yard-to-yard searches.Â
The team located Marion and took him into custody without further incident. A woman who was riding in the car that Marion drove, was identified and released by the officers

"Marion was last paroled on June 15th, 2012 and was listed as a parole at large on August 21st, 2012," the release said. "Marion is on parole for robbery and is a known gang affiliate."
