Spruced-Up Veterans Hall Re-Opens in Suisun City
The new and improved Vets Hall opened Thursday.

The Fairfield-Suisun Veterans Memorial Hall re-opened Thursday. Here are the project's design features:Â
The 6,815 square foot, heritage 2-story 1927 building consists of a multipurpose room for 219 occupants, members lounge, kitchen, and large meeting room. The project features a 600 square foot addition that includes a new kitchen, new exit stairs, accessible ramp and parking to the rear of the building. Renovations include barrier removal to improve accessibility (updated elevator, new sidewalks, new entry ramp and toilet rooms); state- of-the art heating & cooling system for increased operational efficiency; electrical upgrades; new lighting, new kitchen equipment and cabinetry; new stairs; and interior/exterior finishes. The City of Suisun City graciously provided support to the project and constructed a new entry plaza and crosswalk to connect the building to the scenic waterfront across Main Street.
